John Joseph Meehan
Apr 16, 2018He was a World War II veteran and retired from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce after 36 years. John was born in Lincoln, attended St. Thomas Military Academy in St. Paul, Minnesota, before entering the U.S. Army. He served in France, Germany and England during World War II. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.He was preceded in death by Beryl Meehan, his wife of fifty years. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Iola Meehan; his five children, Mike Meehan, Scott Meehan, Debbie Hallock, Julie Spanos, Greg Meehan; step-children, Jeff Rohr (Marcia), Bruce Rohr (Linda), Matt Rohr; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, May 9, followed by a rosary service at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hot springs Village.
